3. I got this CD after having heard about Skinny Puppy's massive influence on the genre of industrial music. Since many fans seemed to agree that this was their best album, I got Too Dark Park. As you can see from the title of this review, I was so happy with this purchase that I actually used one of those smiley-face-thingies in describing it/5(97).

5. May 10,  · "Too Dark Park" is the most enjoyable Polaroid picture taken of Skinny Puppy's ever changing mental mind maps. It has the chaos of "Last Rights" even if there's still some time for modest self reflection and the most focused song writing on any of their efforts/5(43).

7. Dark and dim, this is a strong representation of the sound that would come out of the early to mids in regards to electro-heavy industrial music. In many ways this is before its time, expressing a much thicker and heavy sound than the electro-type music that was coming out of the 80s, marking a clear shift in sound going forward for this.

8. Enter Skinny Puppy. Brutal rants, electronic chaos, and dark disturbing samples. The group is most often thought of as a pioneer of industrial music. But if you’re expecting strictly the fast pace Ministry sound of Rabies or the borderline techno sound of Bites, you might be in for a surprise on Too Dark Park.
